花草，花花草草，寥寥草草，

微風中花草自由搖曳的逸態，傳統蘭草繪畫的雅致韻態，一次次反復塗寫，

形塑傳統中國逸品美學的旨趣；

花苞的環圓形態與花枝的線型弧度二者的形式之間，散落枝離與回抱呼應二者的書寫節奏之間，

無盡湧現與自身遮掩二者的意趣之間，隨氣息的停頓轉折，重構成生動的整體。

Flora, flowers and grasses, the ethereality of flora dancing in the breeze, the elegance and the “aura” featured in traditional orchid paintings, freely and involuntarily graphic-strokes, the traditional Chinese aesthetics of the sublime beauty are brought together to become the only subject in Yen’s paintings.

Between the circling buds and arching branches, between the falling, scattering branches and responsive embrace, and also between the ceaseless flow of manifestation and self-veiling, Yen creates a rich association between art-history reconstruction and an individual’s sensitivity with the help of these three layers of self-awareness.
